I've had both the plastic Schecter case, and now this one. I think quality and protection wise they're about equal. And they're priced exactly the same. But as a guy who plays in clubs a lot the professional look of this case surpasses anything I've seen aside from the branded Gibson and Fender cases. I highly recommend this case of you want to look as good as you play!
