The Schecter Solo Blackjack is a stellar guitar. Came set up perfectly with low action and strung up with my favorite strings (ernie ball slinkies 10-46). The guitar has locking tuners and highly polished stainless steel frets! Fretboard is gorgeous deep ebony and the build is flawless. The body is a tad bit smaller and thinner than my Les Paul, and the neck is thin with a satin finish back. The pickups are high output but they're also versatile enough to sound really nice clean! Coil splits are terrific sounding too! High gain is of course where this thing is in its element. It absolutely STOMPS and suits my band's C-tuned Doom metal perfectly. The Lundgren pickups honestly might be the best metal pickup I've played. The only thing I'd consider adding here (and it's dumb!) is some pickup rings, which I think would make it look a bit cleaner. That said, the gloss black is beautiful and looks great under lights. Glad I took a chance on this beast!
