When I found out I could get a 7-string acoustic that looked gorgeous and had excellent onboards, I couldnt resist. I bought it as soon as possible, and it was like a dream come true. It fit just my needs. I tune to Drop Bb and have a high F strings, so from 7-1 its Bb F Bb Eb G C F. I use it for both jazz and metal and usually both at the same time. I use acoustics a lot in my songs and I was tired of only being able to use a 6-string that limits my playing and truthfully never sounded great or gave me any confidence in its tonal or structural integrity when taking it down to drop Bb. This guitar feels solid in this drop tuning, and sounds amazing as well. Very deep, warm, 7 string with lots of harmonic resonance in the body, and its actually very loud unplugged as well, which is a huge plus for me. The onboard tuner works great even on the low notes and plugged in sounds just a great as it does acoustically, and is an excellent match with my Boss Katana Artist acoustic channel. I could just sit and play it for hours. My one and only gripe with the guitar is it had a very small nick on the back of the neck, about 1 mm, like someone had very gently stabbed it with a pocket knife. I dont know if thats how it came from factory or it happened during shipping or what, but it didn't stop me from falling in love with this guitar, and I dont even notice it.

Wow. Just wow. When I heard about this guitar as it first released, I was excited because I'm pretty loyal to Schecter, already having a few of their Hellraiser 7 strings in my collection. Availability on it was limited to completely zero, though, but eventually, one popped up here and I jumped on it. Glad I did. It is absolutely amazing. Plays like a dream right out of the box, looks and sounds incredible. Schecter sets the bar SUPER high, as always. Cost wise, this thing is on part with instruments at least triple it's price tag. As a metal/jazz/neo-classical guy looking to move into more acoustic spaces, this is perfect. An absolute dream.

i have several guitars that i love but this is my goto. The action is low and the neck is surprisingly narrow You can use a standard capo on it easily as well as multiple capos ( i generally use 2-3). The fishman electronics are clean, but they do make it sound a Little bit like a takamine. For that reason i prefer to mic it. The tuner is accurate and the intonation is fantastic. I use the Tuning BEADF#BE. If you get too excited strumming with too much attack there is a little bit of a buzz, but its pretty easy to manage. The deep bass notes create a a full sound. Overall it's a great guitar. I highly recommend for anyone interested in learning 7 string guitar.

For many of us "extended range" guitarists, having an acoustic option available, and to be Schecter, the New Orleans Stage 7 was a dream come true! Wish Schecter would make a 14 String in the New Orleans Line! It will sell out instantly. The action and setup from the box is flawless. In the over 2 years i've had her, made zero adjustments to the neck. Prefer the feel and sound over my Ibanez 12's, Fender 12's, Martin 12, and definitely Epiphone 6! Full sound despite a primarily arpeggiated style. Have not found her to have any buzzing on her when i do strum. The onboard electronics i have found to work exceptionally well, line-in at the studio, and mic'd out as well. Both, simultaneous also creates a beautiful sound as well. Though i prefer a little color in my guitars, wouldn't touch anything on her for fear of changing the tone/feel even slightly. Unless using for a part that specifically requires a 12 string, she is the only acoustic i have used for just over 2 years now. Very seriously wish Schecter would make a 14. My Hellraiser C-7 FR-S is my 95% electric workhorse after 40 years of foolish loyalty to Ibanez. My playing on my Schecter has actually gotten Considerably Better, and far more inspired over these last years. The extra jumbo frets Schecter primarily seems to use, coupled with low action give their guitars almost a scalloped feel and naturally bumped my speed a solid 20% with no stubbed/dead notes. Every note crisp, articulate, and clean. In the studio no one wants to have to keep playing the same songs or solos repeatedly because the sound is flat or even one note gets chopped or muted when we're playing fast. New Orleans 7 string was an incredible addition to a fairly picky guitar collection and rediculously low price/quality factor. Even played some tapping on her just because i could. Full accessability throughout the neck for any style, versatile settings direct from the onboard eq and electronics, great sound with a mic as well, plays so fast when one needs to, accents every note, fretting cords is very easy on the fingers (making long acoustic sets easier on fingertips even not already hardened like nails) and having to hang her back in the glass, even after hours, is her only downside.
