"AMAZING 5ive string bass from Schecter! The OMEN 5 brings some sonic BOOM to bass playing!"

I buy 2-3 instruments most years, I love variety. any other instrument would be a supplementary thing, different sounding instruments add to a recording mix very well and adds depth to the music. if my omen 5 got stolen I'd get another one JUST LIKE IT, its a BEAST of an instrument. the sound is the best part of it.... the only thing I don't like so much is the weight, but any bass has to have some weight to it.... overall: INCREDIBLE!
Sound
this is one VERY dynamic instrument, it has a wide range of sounds that go from beefy thick tough tones to crisp mids and clean highs that sound unhindered and have good presence. its my favorite bass and sounds more powerful than my fender, peavy and custom made basses. the rear pickup has nice cutting sound, its heard in the mix really well.
Features
it has a volume and blend control system, and an active bass/treble eq system with deep lattitude for adjustment, I can either cut or boost the bass or high end like a maniac! the components feel solid, good quality pots and switches were used in the making of this really great instrument.
Ease of Use
it plays great, the neck is solid and fast, the body has a wonderful THICK glossy glaze on it that is absolutely gorgeous. I can adjust the tone to make for great rock, jazz, metal, country, or anything else////
Quality
really solid construction and good components make this instrument a very good buy.
Value
I shopped around for awhile, and for the money I spent I cannot build one like it.... I like to custom build my own and would spent a multiple of the cost of this trying to even come close! it costs less and sounds better than some OTHER more "name brand" manufacturer's, and makes my other basses sound rather timid.... I look forward to adding more schecters to my gallery, they are great instruments and look VERY nice!
Manufacturer Support
never had to use them!
The Wow Factor
I had played it at the store for an hour straight and could not put it down, so I took it home!

I will probably get the neck thru Stiletto next, also a Schecter
Sound
Modern metal to classic rock to blues or punk this one does it all with plenty of punch(9volt active p/u's) and lots of tone options (treb-boost & cut)(bass-boost & cut). I compared side by side a $1200.00 Fen*** Jazz V, & $900.00 Aerodyne P bass, the Schecter played just as nice and sounded as good or better through an Ampeg 500 watt head & 8/10 cab for less than 1/2 price!
Features
1 Volume, 1 Blend, 1 treble(boost-cut), 1 bass(boost-cut), wish there was volume for both p/u's but for the price and quality of this instrument I can live with it!
Ease of Use
tune it up, turn it up and rock out !! lots of tone options with a nice smooth and easy to play neck! it came with D'Adarrio strings which are not bad but I put on DR's 50-125's right away. smooth clean blues and classic rock eminate beautifully from this work of art.
Quality
for the money you can't beat this deal. I've played the Epi T-Bird and Peavy millenium (both 5-strings) in this price range, and I feel I got the better guitar at home right now. 6 bolt on neck has incredible sustain, just like a neck thru body bass, beautiful finish(blk chery) and black chrome hardware
Value
a best buy in this price range, Hands Down !!
Manufacturer Support
never needed them in 2-1/2 years, that says it all
The Wow Factor
great looking , great sounding, quality build, and easy to play
