I’ve owned many higher priced guitars throughout my life. Most brands offer a handful of models with a very limited if any choice of pickups, tone woods, neck radius’ hardware, etc…When I delved into seven strings, I compared what was available, and purchased a Hellraiser-S, with a Sustainiac pickup and an EMG bridge pickup. A Floyd Rose 1,000 tremolo, etc.I also purchased an Apocalypse EX-7 fixed bridge with Schecter’s Alnico pickups and swamp ash body. What a beast!And, when I saw this special edition E1-FRS, it was a no brainer! I ordered the candy apple red satin finish, which is gorgeous with a nice unique binding. The Sustainiac pickup once again adds so much sustain & feedback it’s amazing!IMO Schecter has the widest selection of affordable high quality guitars in the market. And zZounds financing makes it possible for anyone to own one!

Over the years I’ve owned quite a few guitars and a lot of them were just missing that certain something that made them special, be it the neck was comfortable but the body wood wasn’t what I liked or just didn’t have the “it” factor for me. I’d end up either selling the guitar or trading for something else. That is now over at least with this one. This guitar is something special, I mean, mahogany body and neck, ebony fretboard, stainless steel frets, Floyd rose, pearl inlays and of course the Sustainiac!!!! The neck is flat and wide so you can glide through solos with ease. I mean the feel of this axe is what I’ve been looking for a long time. Schecter has definitely raised the stakes in the game with this one. So glad I made the decision to get this. Well done!
