Schecter C-8 Multi-Scale Electric Guitar, 8-String
When you need the most guttural sounds available, you gotta pick up a C-8. This 8-string monster incorporates a multiscale design for impeccable intonation.

Just got this bad boy from you guys. First off the paint job is incredible. Front to back beautiful. The design reminds me of being in a creepy forest like a death metal video. The sonic seducer pickups are clear as hell. The low 8 comes out clear and punchy enough to probably blow the windows out of your house and probably a section of wall too. The coil split knob is great too, tightens up your sound really nicely and clean. The guitar virtually weighs nothing, i thought i had an empty box when i got it lmao. Overall rating, zZounds hooked me up and this guitar is built for any job. Flawless.
Musical Background:
Ive been playing about 25 years
Musical Style:
I like to incorporate all styles but love playing metal and instrumental to stuff like on the lines of John Petrucci and players

"Not a bad guitar for the price but still falls short in a couple areas"

First off, let me say I own 2 other schecter guitars, both over $1K price point, so I do love how they play. When I first got the silver mountain, without question, the finish is great, no flaws that I could see. However, the high E string was stretched off the fretboard and stuck under the pickup and the pickups were not even close to being set level. Both pickups were caught wrong on their set screws and so they were both sitting at a diagonal angle. I don’t understand how this passed an inspection not do I understand how the string got stretched and caught under the pickup. I have in the past year purchased another schecter (Keith Merrow signature) and both of those pickups were loose in the guitar and one screw had completely fallen out and I had to remount them. So is it a coincidence? Not sure. Is it a minor problem? Yes. I set both pickups to the desired height and the high E string once unhooked from pickup naturally fell into place along the fretboard. It is just very unsatisfying to buy a guitar close to $1,500, and have to fix something that I’m not sure how it even got that way. The fretwork is good but they are not sanded evenly down the fretboard and do get a tad sharper past the 12th fret. It’s minor and some may not notice but it is worth mentioning. The pickups are just ok imo, I much prefer the fishman fluence that they have stuck in their previous model guitars but this is just purely a personal opinion and many will probably have no problems with the stock pickups. The bridge is my favorite style, hipshot hard tails are just super comfortable imo. The locking tuners are great quality and the guitar has great tuning stability. Again, the guitar looks fantastic in person and plays very well. The thin shape of the neck helps on the comfortability of playing an 8 string and the cutout to reach higher frets is great. Overall, I would probably give this guitar a 7 out of 10. The quality control I’ve had on new schecter guitars is worth noting, as minor as it may be, they have been present. But after spending time breaking in this guitar, I would buy another without any worry.

Everything was amazing when I got but when I tried to change the strings there was a major quality control issue so be careful. The ball of the strings do not come out the back and thus I can’t even get the factory strings out to change them. I’ve tried everything. Sadly I must return this guitar.

Un-level frets, barley slotted nut so the high e pings and the d strings buzzes at open, tension is insane with 9 gauge in the high e.
