I like this bass. It looks and plays wonderful. Came out of box with strings loosened laying flat on frets. First thing I tightened up the strings to EADG. I put a new duracell 9 volt battery in it. The one in it was dead. I just replaced the battery again after about a month use. I only play about a half hour 4 or 5 days a week. You will need batteries by your side otherwise if you can handle that , it is a great bass guitar. I took a half star off for the short battery life and setup it needed. Still worth the purchase.
