I was surprised at just how versatile this guitar was. And yet, the tones aren't just versatile, they are awesome. This is a rocking piece of equipment and you would be a fool to pass up this deal.
Sound
I was afraid the JB would be a little too hot for me. I like classic tones. This guitar is very versatile, and it sounds awesome. The JB is really nice. It'll break up and you can squeeze excellent harmonics out of it, but it also does an excellent job on tight, Fender type stuff. The '59 is meaty and just nasty. I have been playing leads in the neck position and it roars.
Features
This guitar played great out of the box. There was no need to upgrade any of the parts. The only problem, and the reason I gave it a 9, is because maybe this guitar is just a little too black. I mean, everything is black. IT'S BLACKER THAN BLACK. I think the pots may require replacement sometime down the line, push pots get loose and worn with use. But for now they are fine.
Ease of Use
Played great right out of the box, I haven't had to do anything to it. The setup is even great. It's almost confusing not to have to start ripping parts off of it.
Quality
This is a very solidly build guitar. I am a picky dude and this guitar is just fine the way it is.
Value
Man, this guitar is a tremendous bargain. Same price as the Tempest Custom but with real Duncans? Super deal.

This one is a keeper. My kids will inherit it. I bought it as a backup to my vintage guitar, but I am going to retire the old one and play this one.
Sound
The sound is actually better than I expected. I am very glad I bought this guitar. It is the first guitar that I have played in a long time where the intonation was exact, without me having to mess with it. I like this guitar better than than any of the American made guitars being offered currently. The sustain is very good.
Features
I like a guitar that has flexible pickup control as in two knobs for front pickups and two knobs to the back. That is how this one is set up.
Ease of Use
The action on the neck suits my hand. Action is a personal thing but I think a lot of people will like the neck on this guitar. The frets are perfect.
Quality
The guitar is so well made its hard to believe the price is so reasonable.
Value
This instrument plays like a $3000.00 guitar.

The Wow Factor
I don't care about the sex the apeal of a guitar. I am a 59 year old man that has been playing since 1964. One of the reasons I bought it is that it doesn't look so awfully silly.

YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS GUITAR. Like I said, the main drawback I can see for some is the fat neck. If you have little hands, this might not be for you; however, my hands aren't that large and I got used to it only after 10 minutes and haven't looked back. Other shortcomings are the only 22 vs 25 frets and no whammy. But for the price and how awesome this thing is, WHO CARES? This has quickly become my main ax, pretty much replacing all my guitars, old and new, in one single swoop.
Sound
Got this to sit in for my $3k Les Paul. Was going to buy a Fender too. Although it does not sound exactly like a Fender, the two coil taps are nothing short of AWESOME. I can get indie, I can get bluesy, I can get Jazzy, and I can go all the way to Death Metal... NO PROBLEMO. Amazing... Best money I've ever spent on a guitar HANDS DOWN!
Features
Wish I could give it a 10 but... The only things missing are 25 frets and a whammy bar. But like I said, the coil taps are a dream! I wanted something with a whammy bar, but this guitar was so great its awesomeness were more important than my other needs.
Ease of Use
For me, this it plays like a dream. The neck may be a bit thick (not wide) for some, but you can get used to it. I did. I guess this all depends on your playing. However, I will say that this plays better in most respects than any of my other guitars.
Quality
Beautiful. Accurate. Perfect. Not one single complaint. I can't believe this is so great.
Value
I have not played an instrument better than this one, even upwards over $3000. This is my favorite guitar. Period.

The Wow Factor
It's sexy and classy. Doesn't look boring like an old instrument. Doesn't look too crazy. It has the right blend of curves and sleekness. Totally attractive, and even more so after the first touch. ;)
