Sabine BT300 Backtrak Riff Decoder/Sampler
The Sabine Backtrak BT-300 is a powerful digital sampler that can capture up to 30 seconds of audio material from a stereo radio, cassette, CD player, or any line level instrument output (via appropriate cable). Play back your recorded material over and over at your choice of 4 speeds - all without changing the pitch! The best part is, you can jam along during playback while listening privately through headphones or through an amplifier!

I don´t agree with most of the other reviewers. This machine works very well in order to record difficult musical phrases, then slow the pace and learn to play them, this is where this recorder excels and that's what is intended for: record, play at lower speed and help you learning new and complex licks, not by note. It´s very exciting when you realize those "hidden" notes of your favorite solos no matter the stile :jazz, rock ,country..this machine will make a way better guitar (or any other instrument) player yourself. Sometimes I get rid of my computer, or go to a gig in the road, then I take the Sabine BT 300 in my guitar´s case and take it everywhere, it´s that practical..I love it!!
Musical Background:
player for 40 years,guitar, proffesional
Musical Style:
Many styles, mostly jazz, blues, rock, classical and never flamenco (I do hate this stuff!)

I have owned this a few months. The slow down aspect of the unit works but it's most valuable as a normal speed recorder. The other slow down recorders like the Tascam have the same problems as this one. I would buy it again if I had the chance because it's cool to own a recorder.
Sound
This product is best used for recording and listening to passages at normal speed, that's when the sound quality is best. As the notes get slowed down the audio gets much worse.
Features
It does not seem to be worth 80 dollars, not many features
Quality
2 year warranty
Value
This is the cheapest recorder I have seen
Manufacturer Support
I think it's made in the USA
The Wow Factor
Sabine has good intentions with this product but the unit is flawed, it's better than having nothing to record with and it's much easier to use than a cassete tape and recorder because it plays the same sample over and over
Musical Style:
all kinds
