My first music man. Wasn't sure what to expect. Before I plugged it in I could tell it had the best tone of any short scale bass I have had. I'm still getting use to it plugged in though. The more I play it the more I like it. Set up right outta the box was great. Haven't had to do anything but play it. I like it so much I ordered the full size one, which is 250 less than this one. ????. Must be the real rosewood which I love.

The iconic Stingray sound in (reasonably priced) short scale. Sounded & played great right out of the box. The Parallel, Single Coil & Series selector for the pickup is one of the reasons I wanted this bass. The shorter overall length (in comparison to my other 30" short scales) makes it very easy to handle. Only negative was some sharp fret ends. Not an issue as was taken care of in about 15min with a sanding sponge. You get a lot of bass for the money.
Musical Background:
Bass player since '73
Musical Style:
Eclectic...but grew up playing blues & hard rock.

Had to get bass set up. Played it on a few gigs and rehearsals and bass consistently started cutting out with now sound. Repair tech determined it was the preamp overheating. He took out preamp so I only have one control for pickup.. it was a real bummer.. if bass had been under warranty, I would have returned it. I didn't play it a lot so that wasn't the problem. It was defective.
