My first ever Music Man/Sterling. I’m going to keep this short and sweet. AMAZING GUITAR. beautiful, outstanding neck and frets, ( did a fret polish, I always do on new guitars. ) And fretboard oil, I also do on all new guitars. Pickups are so nice sounding. From swanky cleans to brutal metal and EVERYTHING in between. The push/push volume has massive character in tones. Fit and finish is exceptional. Took off pick guard to have a look. Completely painted shielding, high end ( Switch Craft? Parts ) exceptional wiring, clean and tidy. Bridge is perfect. Locking tuners are perfect. Color is amazing, I got the blue absolutely beautiful and with the roasted neck looks incredible. Frets are level and no sprout or rough fret ends. Fretboard was a tad dry, to be expected. Heel joint is insanely comfortable. This guitar is worth every last cent. Absolutely love it and really hope they start to offer more that 2 colors. Because I want at least 1 more. Can’t say enough good things about it. Fender and Gibson better really get their acts together. They don’t even come close to competing with this guitar. Not even their $2000 guitars compete AT ALL.

This Sterling CT50 Plus delivers on the promise of a fine instrument at an affordable price point. I’ve been a fan of hardtail guitars because I couldn’t stand the tuning instability that I had with other 2-point tremolo guitars. Well, Music Man knows what they’re doing… this Cutlass came out of the box with perfect intonation & action and the tremolo is balanced and doesn’t mess with tuning (extreme dive bombs excluded). The tonal variety is great and I’m finding unique tones — position (humbucker+single coil) has a great “honk” to it.I got the chalk gray model, and the black hardware looks great. I thought the bare roasted maple neck might look out of place, but I love it. If you want a modern alternative to a Fender Player Plus, this is it. It covers all the Fender tones and adds a whole new palette with the mid boost.
