My previous microphone was uncomfortable and awkward. It did not stay on my ear consistently. Even worse, I had to tape the boom to my face to get it to pick up my voice with any volume. The Samson mic stays firmly on my ear. It takes a little getting used to because it sits on the top of the ear instead of wrapping around. Use the picture in the manual to get it right. However, I am able to get the mic close enough to my mouth so that it picks up my voice and doesn't move around too much. The sound quality seems adequate for my needs (in a classroom). And of course, this Samson model was quite a bit cheaper than most of the competition (and my previous mic). I was nervous about buying a mic sight unseen because many vendors say that they cannot be returned. I appreciated the 100% guarantee at zZounds, even though I have not had to test it out.

B-stock item was really NIB, sounds good - compares favorably to omni's from Countryman, DPA - rubber band on ear loop makes fitting easy and, when using the collar clip to strain relief, mic stays put.
