First let me say, I love zZounds. I love what it affords working musicians. I think they are super on point with their delivery. I think they have a wonderful selection of products. Just a stellar company. Having said that, I received my Samson Carbon 61 and it's good. The only caveat is I don't feel the "semi weighted action" at all. Not in the slightest. I have an arturia that I needed to replace and I have to say, they don't feel "that" different. Maybe if I think it to be so, they do, but like when you turn an eq knob on the wrong channel and think you're hearing eq changes? They really don't feel different at all, and one is "semi weighted action" and the other is plain ol' plastic keys..Now i do notice a velocity curve difference in that, I seem to have much more variance in dynamics with the Samson, but let's not confuse that with "weighted action." Like I said, I don't want to ever get in bad standing with zZounds and if this review makes that happen please don't publish it. It ain't that big of a deal for me, but in the world of reviews, I like to be honest.

I was super excited to play with this Keyboard that just came in today but I am very disappointed. I bought the Samson Carbon 61 keyboard and the USB hub in the back of the keyboard is Defective. The USB Wire that came with it doesn't fit. You would literally have to force the usb inside the keyboard and also for it to power on. I tried using other USB Midi cables to see if something was wrong with the original cables but its just the keyboard USB Hub itself that's defective.
