"Great Cymbals"

This set comes with fast crashes which are thin so keep that in mind, If you abuse them, they will break. I played hard on these with no issues for a couple months before taking them to church. They sound amazing at church. The fast decay and mellow tones blend well with the worship music. If your looking for high end sound without the high end cost these are an amazing series of cymbals by sabian. They do have the rock crashes and rock ride in the XSR series. So if you plan on abusing the cymbals I would suggest you look into those as they are medium cymbals and will hold up to more abuse. Thin crashes are great cymbals for home as the decay is short and they don't ring forever. I love them in church for the same reason, but also the thin crashes are not as bright. I prefer a more mellow tone in my cymbals, but budgeting does not allow the HH or HHX series yet. So these for next in line. They sound great and will be hard pressed to found the high quality sound of these with spending over 300 more than this price for the set. My critique in this is the 14 crash. I am not a fan of the 14 inch crash. I would much rather have a 20 inch crash. Hind sight I would have bought the performance set which comes with the 16 and 18 inch crashes and bought the 20 inch crash in addition.

"Amazing Cymbal deal for everything you get."

The cymbals are thin, so they are a little darker than having a medium cymbal. They open up fairly easy, and they sound really good. I was using at home and quickly took to my church. They were using Zildjian ZBTs. I will be looking into other cymbals for church that are bigger, darker, and thinner, but these work amazing for the time being, and these cymbals will come back home for their intended use. I bought these to be a good all around practice cymbal. Younger or less experienced drummers should look into the XSR Rock series. The rock series is brighter, but are medium and will handle torture better. If these cymbals are properly mounted on a stand, and struck correctly, they should last a lifetime.
Sound
Bright. The crashes are not as bright as medium cymbals, that said they are in between dark and bright. The ride is a medium ride and is brighter.
Features
The thin crash cymbals open easier and allow good dynamic control. The ride is good. It is probably my least favorite of the whole setup. But that is my personal preference. Not the product itself. I would prefer a little more wash from the ride, and just a darker overall sound. If you are like that as well, you should consider getting a different ride, that said, it would make a good second ride for the more pingy rhythms you may want to do.
Ease of Use
They are B20 cymbals and sound amazing, you just need to listen to sound clips and found out if they fit the sound you want. They would be a great set of cymbals for newer drummers as long as they understand these are not to be abused. The sound will not drive the parents nuts every time they hit a cymbal. For experienced drummers looking for an affordable, but great sounding cymbal, these fit that bill.
Quality
These are B20 cymbals, which are what the AA, AAX, HH, and HHX cymbals are made of.
Value
These are great cymbals, and compared to an identical kit in the AA and HH series, are half the price.
The Wow Factor
The price for all the cymbals you get.

"not happy"

Bought this pack with the understanding I could hit these cymbals. I like the 10"splash. The hi hats and ride are dull and unresponsive. I broke the 16" crash by the 8th song in set. Money wasted.
