Rocktron has long made the best noise reduction circuit in the business...especially for the price! This unit was roughly 1/2 the price of most others and outperforms them all. This is my fourth Rocktron noise reduction pedal, three different pedal boards are in use and I gave 1 pedal away to a good friend because he saw it and wanted it real bad , so I gave it to him then and there....just spreadin the good news!

This thing acts like a "gate" when they say it doesn't. I got highs and sustain chopped. I did not like it . I'm not a tech player just so I couldn't tell you why it does what it does. I'll keep looking to knock down my rig noise.

Rocktron Hush Pedal Customer Review

Well, I think its been misnamed, it should be called guitar feedback reducer, because that is what it does. It also introduces a hiss, I thought it was just mine, but tried a new one in a store with the same effect. I run a Boss NS-2 behind it, and I have a quiet amp and no howling. I bought the Hush pedal used for $40 and the NS-2 used for $40. For all the traveling and spending money for high profile gigs I do, it is well worth it. I got pretty good at slamming the volume knob off on my axes, but I like this a little better.
Sound
It squishes the highs in a guitar a bit, but depending on your amp you can compensate after.
Features
No features, just on and off, and some kind of threshold knob.
Ease of Use
It's easy to use sure enough, turn the knob up until the feedback is controlled.
Quality
Its got a rugged metal case which is nice, but the added hiss is what lowers the rating.
Value
If you have trouble with feedback from a guitar, this will likely cure it. Some people play too loud, and some have lousy guitar electronics, this unit can help both. $60 is a good price to keep your guitar from howling at the audience when you have flown 10k miles or spent a lot of time and gasoline selling $500 worth of tickets.
Manufacturer Support
haven't used support.
The Wow Factor
If you have feedback problems, this could help you, but not for anything else. You really should have the guitar electronics checked or turn down your amp, but that isn't always the answer you need.
