Sound
I agree with the other users complaints although there is a work around. First I bought 2 of the Roland KD-7 vertical drum pedals. The second one hooks to the other through the input so you can have double bass drum pedal sounds without the problems of hitting the center of the one that comes with the kit. This kit allows you to sort of play double bass drum pedals via the high hat but it's just not the same thing. For one of the problems I saw first was the weak sound it has. Trust me, it's worth the extra money to buy the reverse beater pedals. As for the rest of the kit, it's awesome. I upgraded from Simmons SD-9K kit to this one and it was hands down the best thing I bought. If there is one pet peeve (not many here) it should have come with an extra cymbal other then that it would of been 10 stars. Right out of the box I was playing in 30 minutes. The sound module is great and I love the cable snake and how it works. I would recommend this kit to all who wants to buy it.

"great product"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
i am very pleased with this product and its always easier to point out flaws than to say what you like about the product. that being said, i wish i would have known how bad the kick pad is, especially for doublebass. i got so frustriated with the thing that i only go single bass, so the beater would hit the sensor directly in the middle. there is one thing to point out, even if you crank the sensitivity up on the kickpad via the module, double bass will still never sound as good as hitting the same pad with the single bass. i am currently in the process of getting their kd12 to replace it and atart playing double bass again. i also want to get something else for the hi-hat, not that its bad, i just need something more realistic. other than that, i really love this thing and i also want to add one more "cymbal" and "floor tom."
Sound
I suggest that you demo one of these if youre unshure about buying one. i play mine through a berringer keyboard monitor, and its great.
Features
almost every parameter you can think of in order to change the sensitivity, the tone, and volume of each individual pad is available.
Ease of Use
amazingly easy to use. i thought that i was going to be dumbfounded by all the available features, however, the quick start guide was enough to get me going at first.
Quality
great quality. i beat up on this thing almost every day, and for the last seven months they have been nothing short of strong and dependable.
Value
this is the area that i frown on the most. it is an incredibly large commitment to spend this much on a drum set, however, you would never get the variety and versatility of this product with other aucoustic pieces for the same price.
Manufacturer Support
i havent needed any type of customer service as of yet.
The Wow Factor
very sexy :)
