I will admit, I was a bit skeptical of how "yet another version" of this machine would sound. ROLAND does it again! The knobs are solid, the touch screen very responsive...awesome. I look forward to buying the TR-8 and sync these bad boys up! And zZounds thank you for making it super easy to purchase.

OK. so if you have the money and want to dish it out, be my guest, youll have a great time if you have purchased the TR-8 already. If you are broke and can create good bass lines on your own I would recommend maybe an MPK II and create your own bass lines. This thing doesn't hold a lot of space, one measure 16 bars, or 32 bars, but still very limited space.

I used this synth for about a month. I'm use to keys but I needed the bass.
The only downside I found was a bit too much sensitivity with the keys. Your finger has to be completely off the note before you switch to the next or it will select a middle note. I know its monophonic but it is something I couldn't deal with. There is the option of using a midi controller to solve to issue.
