Sound
Got this to replace an aging KD-7 that started dying. Wow, what a difference! Feels like playing an actual bass drum, and no more of the annoying accidental double triggers I would get from the KD-7 due to rubber on rubber.
Features
Love the upright strike. On-floor KD-7 never felt right. Still slips on carpet just like old unit, which is kind of annoying.
Ease of Use
Very easy to get up and running.
Quality
Appears to up to Roland standards.
Value
Good mid-range value vs. mesh on the high end and rubber on the low end. Glad they offer this mid-range option.
Manufacturer Support
Haven't needed them yet.
The Wow Factor
You could get by with a lesser product, but for the low price point why would you???
