I have been a tube amp guy for all of my 8+ guitar playing years. I decided to try this new Roland amp because of the features and my good experience with Boss/Roland products. I realize that sound is a subjective opinion, but this amp in my opinion has a superb sound weather clean, fuzzy or downright dirty. The controls are very easy to use and I especially like how each channel remembers the latest settings automatically for future recall. I believe this amp to be a steal at this price. It is built like a tank and even has very sturdy side grab handles in addition to the usual top handle for easier carry and movement. There is an optional foot controller that at first seems pricy, until you see how much control and versatility if offers.....check it out! This is one solid state amp that doesn't have to take a back seat to anything!
