"Roland: Take out this hiss! And give me my money back!"

Again, wouldn't buy one again, can't recommend it. My recommendations appear above. Roland should be taken to task for leaving so damn much "hiss" in there -- if the hiss wasn't there, and the compressor didn't make it 10 times worse, I'd probably be praising this amp to the sky, despite the incredibly awkward controls layout.
Sound
The Tube and Tube drive amps are way too damned "hissy". And the Compressor feature only makes the hiss 10 times worse. Other than that, you can get some nice sounds out if it, if you try to balance down on the hiss and succeed. If you're hoping that it'll compete with a loud drummer, though, you will be sadly mistaken.
Features
Roland's Chorus was nice, very excellent. And the equalization was good. The two-digital-presets was totally worthless. You want switchable presets, get a REAL modeler like a Behringer V-AMP or something.
Quality
Quality is very rock-solid. Once I put my own wheels on it, I was able to tote it around quite a bit. I play it ridiculously loud, and haven't blown it up yet.
Value
I would never purchase this again. I do not recommend it. If you're looking for a portable rig, save yourself some $$$ and get a Behringer BX1200 for half the price. And if you want real digital modeling, get a Behringer V-Amp Pro, J-Station, or SOMETHING, plus a power amp, plus a couple of PA speakers, and you'll be stoked. That's what I use now, and it's way more versatile.

The Wow Factor
It's pretty damn sexy -- that's why I bought it -- but since I would never buy it again, and can't recommend it, how can I say "I Want It"?
