I expect to be using this amp for many years. If this were stolen, I would get another one. The ability to plug this directly into the PA makes this invaluable to my way of setting up.
Sound
I own this, the cube 60, the cube30, and the microcube amplifiers. I find that its tone and power are fantastic. I also own a Traynor 15 watt and a traynor 50 watt tube amp. The tube sounds cannot be totally duplicated by this amp but it comes close on so many levels. This thing lets me play Jazz or rock and sounds deep and powerful. It has so many features that I can fine tune. This amp's JC clean side is wonderful with my semi-hollow body guitar.
Features
It did not have any foot switches that came with it. I would have rated this a 10 if there had been a couple of switches with it.
Ease of Use
You can quickly move from sound to sound on this amp. It is extremely easy to adjust sounds for this amp to completely dial in whatever sound you want. The learning curve on this amp is about 10 minutes if you have never had a Roland cube amp before. Each feature is so much like the next one that after you learn how to adjust one you have learned to adjust them all.
Quality
This is built like a tank. It looks good. It looks tough. I have no worry about this amp failing. I would use this on the road and feel secure not having to carry a backup with me. I would not mind having another one of these in case someone elses amp should fail.
Value
The value of this product exceeds its price.
Manufacturer Support
Over the years, I have never had to deal with Roland for anything and I have owned these Roland cube amps for many years.
The Wow Factor
I did not lust for this amp except on its functional capabilities. It is an excellent addition to my setup.

This amp is like a swiss army knife...it just might save your life...!!
Sound
Well...once again, Roland has built an amp that is hard to beat at this price point. The flexibility...ease of use...spot on tone models...sheer power...(special solo feature is very cool)...ext. spkr output (unusual in this class)...and plenty of line level output features on the back. The built in tuner makes this amp a must have. It's perfect for those grab and go gigs, jamm sessions, and recording dates. I play in 3 busy bands and have several high end tube amps....but I still grab my Cube 80 just as often because of the sound quality and convenience....it's just a "no brainer".....love it....!!
Features
In my opinion...the needed footswitch should be included....but I bought it anyway...this is more of an observation than a complaint.
Ease of Use
you'd have to be in a coma to get confused by this amp..!
Quality
Nobody beats Roland for consistency...period !
Value
This is by far...a best value buy....!!
Manufacturer Support
once you get em on the phone, they're great..!

I'm finally happy after I have been through several trials since my baby (johnson marquis jm120) gave out on me. I should get good use out it for a while.
Sound
I am amazed... this small thing can fill up places that I couldn't with a 410 tube amp. I'm still working on getting the sound I want but the sound I have gotten out of it so far has been great.
Features
I'm loving the amp models that I am able to dial in. The only thing I wish that it had was an included footswitch. Oh, some type of dust cover would be good also.
Ease of Use
Very easy to use. I couldn't believe how easy it was to use the looper function. You don't really need to read the book to use it.
Quality
I like how it's built... Not very heavy but solid... Looks good... Weight and size are awesome for someone on the road a lot.
Value
It's really worth the price. You pay 400 for a product that does better than one that costs easily double its price.
Manufacturer Support
Will give a 10 bc I haven't needed them yet.
The Wow Factor
I'm a gadget man as well as a musician... It amazes most musicians to see something so small get the job done.

"Great Tones from a lightweight portable amp"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars

Sound
I have owned this amp for about 2 months and like it more every time I turn it on. Played with the band the other day and had no problem keeping up with our loud drummer and the other guitar player liked it so much he went out and bought one the next day. I feel this amp has really good tone in a small powerful lightweight package. I use a 1x12 celestion vintage 30 extension cabinet with it at times and that just takes it to a whole new level. I didn't use the ext cab at rehearsal and it was plenty of power and sound. The solo function is great, volume boost at the push of a button for leads. I love the distortions and the cleans. I sold all my other amps. If you want to scale down and make things simple, this amps for you.
Features
Doesn't come with foot switches but you can buy them to control everything on this amp.
Ease of Use
For great sound and tone, just turn it on, its that easy.

Sound
Sounds like a toy -- a toy that is broken. It rattles and hisses with a substantial amount of digital artifact noise. Not nearly as good as the 60.
Features
Has all the bells and whistles....now if it only sounded good....
Quality
The dealer says "they all sound like this"
Manufacturer Support
Roland support is very good, you may need it.

Roland Cube 80X Combo Amp Customer Review

Overall: 3.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
The cube 80 sounds great in a clean mode. However, when using distortion this amp is not too impressive. I have tried using numerous guitars and settings with this amp and have not found a setting that sounds good with distortion.
Features
The effects on the cube 80 sound pretty good. I kinda like the dyna amp feature and the looper.
Manufacturer Support
I have not called for service on this amp
