I use this small diaphragm condenser on acoustic guitar and piano and it sounds great. It has a smooth frequency response that give you a nice high end without sounding harsh. (It also works surprisingly well as an on-camera mic.)The extra switches (-db and hi-pass) really make this mic excellent for a number of uses (well worth the upgrade from the Rode NT5, IMO). The only thing keeping this mic from 5 stars is that you have to physically switch out the mic head to switch from cardioid to omni, and I'm the kind of guy who loses tiny peripherals.
