I had the original rane one but I needed to upgrade for the channel faders and efx switches were junk. But I must say the faders and efx switches on mk2 are phenomenal. This controller is made for scratching. But it gets better with the stems and the efx. This one of my favorite dj controllers as I had a pioneer rev 7 but didn’t like it. Rane listened to us on the mk2 as they asked us what we wanted and they came through. Also the mic has echo and it’s great. I must say this has been my best purchase in my life as I enjoy it. I also have the Rane 12 mk2 and Rane 70 and this is pretty much a mini version of that but with tons of features. If you are use to 12’ platters this may take a bit of getting used to. But all I can say is get it and u wont be sorry and I recommend u use a Mac book pro for it will work flawlessly. Five stars Rane, -Dj james
