So...Several of my well established engineer friends advised against me getting this. I defied them and went with my gut. I am SO GLAD I DID!!! There is a magic in this box WHEN used alone and especially with other analog gear. Having the best of the plugin worlds console emus I can say that this is the difference than having them. Tracks have more depth and feel more 3D. Is it a necessity? No But if there is something you feel that digital isn't giving you then this box can get the direction going. It going into Handsome Audio's Zulu is a dream for my home studio! Worth every penny imo
