"GERMAN ENGINEERING AT ITS BEST!!!"

I decided to go with the Jockey III for these reasons: 1.EQ's have no center click. 2.Filter and effects share the same knob, you must press SHIFT for FILTER. 3.Effect control is limited to DRY/WET and AMOUNT. 4.Master and headphone level are not midi assignable (if you are using an external audio card). Checkout the Mixage Controller Edition if you need this. Build quality, design, features are all high-end, what you would expect from a PROFESSIONAL GERMAN company.
Sound
Excellent sound. I tested Mixage back to back against my $1500 RME soundcard, at 44.1kHz/16bit (resolution of this unit) and I could not tell the difference. Since most CD's are at this resolution, as a DJ, you've got it made.
Features
For the size and price, the features are unbeatable. It does just about everything the bigger ones do in a compact, lightweight setup. Jogwheels are super-nice with special grip surface (rubbery vinyl). Knob axles are steel. Knobs heads are plastic. Push-buttons are plastic, but very agile and responsive. Trax encoder is aluminum (black finish). My favorite features are: 1. the load A & B buttons which blink to the beat, showing whether the decks are in SYNC! 2. the mini-crossfader for HEADPHONE CUE is ingenious, as you can test your crossfade in your headphones first. 3. Filter knob has center click, to the left is LowPass, to the right is HighPass. 4. 4 Rotary encoders are also pushbuttons (I assigned the lower 2 to BASS KILL A & B since they were not assigned to anything.) 5. Volume LED's showing track A & B PFL's so you can pre-guess your gain level before the track is mixed in.
Ease of Use
Just install Traktor LE (or upgrade to Traktor PRO2) and GO! Very intuitive interface. Training videos on youtube - (RELOOPDJCOM)!!
Quality
Reloop is one of the few companies with superior build quality even for small, inexpensive units such as MIXAGE. Akai Pro, Roland, Vestax are examples of cheezy plastic controllers that once had pro-build philosophies, but have fallen into that cheap plastic marketing VOID. Keep it UP, RELOOP!!
Value
This unit FAR OUTWEIGHS THE COMPETITION AT THIS PRICE, or any price for that matter. The engineering under the hood is UNREAL!
Manufacturer Support
Never needed it, but Germans are generally on the ball.
The Wow Factor
If you think Porche is sexy, you will like Reloop products in general. The jogwheels are HOT with vinyl-etched inlays and logo!! Metal top/bottom and plastic sides with logo stamp. All knobs and faders have cush high-end feel. Volume LED's at this price got me drooling!
