"Randall makes good stuff..."
In my opinion this is probably the best solid-state 2-12 combo out there now, regarding everything.
Sound
The gain is very versatile from Zeppelin-style overdrive to modern metal. The clean channel sounds great, almost as good as a fender. Reverb and chorus both sound very good. I can't say anything bad about it.
Features
It came with a 5 button footswitch to turn on/off reverb, chorus, boost on clean channel, switch channels, and switch gain types. It was nice having independent reverb controls for the clean and distortion channels. Chorus is great. Two types of gain make it very versatile and lots of eq control, especially on the distorted channel.
Quality
This thing is built like a rock. It is pretty heavy for a 2-12 but is incredibly solid. I don't think a backup is needed.
Value
I got a blemished model for about $425 and it had nothing wrong with it! Best solid-state 2-12 probably out there.
