Should last forever with proper maint. I don't abuse my equipment...can't afford to!
Sound
I had heard these hats before and I really liked them...but after buying them and using them in live situations...AWESOME! Definate crispy sound I've been looking for. Perfect open wash, great sustain that cuts the mix. These are great 'pro' hats that have a very distinct sound. The old 'Bonham' comparison is true but these are extremely versatile. Pricey, but anything this good usually is. You cannot go wrong with these hats!
Features
The bottom hat serves its purpose, allowing air to pass thru and it really adds to some nice clean stick response when tight.
Quality
I have always appreciated Paiste and there upper level (and over-all line for that matter) product quality. These are no exception and in my humble opinion rate at the top of the class.
Value
As I stated earlier, not a cheap set but worth every penny!
Manufacturer Support
Do not know as I have never needed.
The Wow Factor
Paiste is always COOL!

"A great choice for studio use!"

I might get another style of hi-hat, mainly to get a second sound to pull out when I need a different sound, but this one will probably remain my go-to piece. I wouldn't hesitate getting another one if mine ever broke or got stolen! I'd probably get two..
Sound
The 2002s' posses a well articulated and defined sound characteristic. It really cuts through, providing a rather complex, moving force. No matter if it's located in the front of the mix, or left in the background, it has a unique blend of solid lows and lively highs, that manages to shine through no matter what. It plays really responsive, and ran through a vintage spring reverb, it really takes of to another dimension. If you want to explore it's capabilities, use a dynamic microphone and really try finding that sweet-spot, it's well worth the time!
Ease of Use
It's a hi-hat. It sounds great. It has a nice sound in itself, and does great with EQ, hard to go wrong.
Quality
Paiste is a well-respected manufacturer, and this one is no exception!
Value
I love it, definitely worth every penny. It's a pure joy playing and always gives interesting results.
The Wow Factor
It's hi-hat, so I wont exaggerate appearance, but it does both look and feel great, and took me just a minute to decide on buying.
