I’ve had the ES 4 about better than a year and everything was top notch, working great. Then I became an Apple user…….. I fully disclose I’m a retired home hobbyist,,barely an intermediate and definitely a pedal abuser lol. The ES4 stopped working- new routings hardware wise is my less than educated guess was the problem.If I was staying on Windows I’d probably stay with the ES4 although hindsight HD8 is probably the best value for the dollar so if you’re a home hobbyist getting serious but still not ready to drop 5/10 grand overall….. the HD8 will get professional level work flow accomplished.I am going with a simpler interface and small mixer…(because I’m a fun loving retired hobbyist just enjoying it all)….of course through Zz, great business with A+ customer service

A++ for presonus. They have really stepped it up hear in every aspect from the pre’s to the headphone amp. Perfect I/o configuration, love the ergonomics and the metering. I have zero bad to say. I’d put this up against many much much more expensive interfaces and best on my quantum es4 every time. I love studio one but the intuitive nature of universal control and any daw is just awesome!!
