I really liked the Faderport in concept, but I couldn’t justify paying that much for a glorified play button for Logic, but with the 2/2 audio interface built in this version, it’s a no brainer. The pres are clean and have plenty of gain for even the quietest of headphones and mics. I’m running it with the shure sm7b and no cloudlifter required! As a controller, I’m also very impressed. The mechanical fader is awesome, and after using it for about 20 minutes I was already forgetting about the mouse. You can do all of the normal transport controls, but also have access to zooming in and out, changing tracks, controlling the actual record point… what I’m saying is that this thing is a great tool to have in any studio!
