I decided to work in Reason because I needed more stuff to work with. I like it for the Reason I can work on my mixes in my projects which sound excellent(thanks to the tutorials straight from propellerhead). At first I was hesitant in getting this, but my friend talked me into purchasing this & see for myself, & the price is just right.

Reason has a unique interface, with a focus on representing instruments as they may appear in real life. The graphics are nice, and fairly inspiring. The interface(s) of the instruments invite tweaking as opposed to simply loading presets and being satisfied to use a sound as it is presented. The sequencer is fairly basic, but usable and more importantly, intuitive. The mixer section may be daunting at first, but after watching a few youtube videos (made by the manufacturer themselves) you will feel much more comfortable with its usage.

Mostly electronic, techno, industrial.

I've used several different DAW's over the pass three year. Reason 8 work flow works best for me. Sound and quality are top notch. You can't go wrong with Propeller-head products.
