"Great snake at a great price"

If it were lost or stolen, I'd replace it with the same thing.
Sound
Passes signal well. Well shielded. Have played some places where power is suspect at BEST and so far so good. No humm, clicks or pops.
Features
Comes with a bag to keep all the mixer end connectors in. VERY handy. Built very solid. Locks on snake head work well.
Ease of Use
Piece of cake. Send cables are black, return cables are red. All connectors at either end are clearly marked.
Quality
Built to take the punishment of the road.
Value
This is a GREAT deal BECAUSE you will RARELY use the entire 100 feet, of a 100' snake. There's USUALLY about 25 to 30 feet coiled up at the sound board, or the edge of the stage. Knocking about 25 feet off and dropping the price is too good a deal to pass up!!!
Manufacturer Support
Haven't had to use it yet....

Works great with our current set-up.

Our church needed an audio snake for occasional use and I didn't want to spend a bundle, so I read the reviews and took a chance on this gear. I was not disappointed. We used it for our Easter service in an auditorium and it worked flawlessly. I like the low-profile box, and the 8 aux sends offer a lot of flexibility. It is apparent, though, that this gear is not built to withstand week-in, week-out use. The box is fairly light-guage metal, and the box connectors are soldered onto circuit boards inside; heavy use could result in broken solder joints I suspect. But for occasional use, this a great product at a great price! I haven't use the manufacturer support, but since the rating system doesn't allow for "not applicable", I gave them 3 stars...

"A must have for my live sound business"

I have bought both the 83 footer and the 100 footer from zzounds and I have had two times in the past couple weeks where if I had not had the snake I could not have done the gig. The 100'er showed up at my house just as me and my crew were about to hit the highway and I am so glad it showed up. In my experience I have used every single inch of the snakes (with only a few safety coils and hardly any other slack to speak of). I also have a mini (send only) snake that I used to cross the wide stages I was setting up on to get to the stage box of the big snake. I require a snake way longer than both of these if I am going to be able to continue to take such a wide variety of jobs. Other than the lack of a longer one with 12 returns, these Proel snakes are perfect for my needs, low profile, easy to carry around (for a snake) and the 100 foot one (unlike the 83 foot one) is a breeze to unroll and roll up when you're done (compared to other snakes that is... its still a huge pain in the butt and took me 20 minutes to roll out down the side wall of the church sanctuary I was setting up in yesterday). Overall, I am quite confident using this snake, I don't ever really worry or think about it. Its transparent and noise free when in use. What more could I ask and the stage box doesn't weight a hundred pounds like the box ends on many snakes. The fan tail is sturdy and it has so many connectors it takes some getting used to unless you handle them a lot. My only complain is this. My front of house EQ/compressor rack is a shock mount SKB flight case that is very deep. The length of each XLR send/return is somewhere around four feet I would estimate. Whatever the exact length, I always run out of slack when I use the EQ or compressor XLR outputs to plug in returns while the sends are plugged into all of the XLR inputs on the mixer (which is a top loaded mixer not one where the XLR inputs are on the back of the mixer facing away from the soundman). Other than that (and the fact that Proel does not sell one with 48 sends/12 returns, on a reel that is 200 feet long! It looks like I will have to custom order that from someone.

I have had it for a couple months now and used it live only one time so far. Most gigs I have been able to use the mini (one way) snake and set up my mixer beside one of the stacks of speakers. The one time I did use it I had no problems setting it up. I made a DIY lightweight reel and that has helped decrease my setup time. This thing (like all snakes not on a reel) is a beast to handle, but you can't live without one at some gigs. All the sends and returns work, however my chief complaint is the length of the fantail end. I use a large, shock mounted, 10 U rack to house my FOH EQs and compressors and I put the mixer on top. The fantail does not spread widely enough to allow me to plug one of the snake's xlrs in the EQs output to return to the speakers and also at the same time plug a send into the 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 24 input in the farthest away inputs on the board. This is a big, wide mixer and the rack is cavernous with all the gear sitting way up in the front, but I need a snake that can do that and it is difficult to tell how wide the fantail will spread before you handle the snake in person. Overall I am impressed with the low profile stage box end. It stays put and you can't even see it unless you walk right up to the back of the stage and peer down through all the sends and returns sprouting out of it like grass! As with any snake, kinks, bends and twisting are a constant threat when rolling it out and to a lesser extent when rolling it back on the roll. Cons: what appears to be inadequate strain relief at the box end has caused me to be EXTRA careful when lifting the box end, handling the snake in any way and during transportation. Fortunately, this has not yet become a problem. Watch out for these issues like I did and your Proel snake will give you what you want. In fact, I need more length and will be buying a 100' Proel with 32 sends and 8 returns. If only they made a well thought out, low profile snake on a reel with 32 sends, 12 returns and lengths up to 300'! I'm waiting...
