Jumped into this mixer from a djm-750 after i heard it will have support with serato dj with the purchase of a serato dj license. Its a great mixer that has most of what you'd be using on the djm-900 if you'd ever need to use one of those in a club. If the djm-900 is out of your price range this should be a no brainer! Everything feels very robust, the mixer itself is very heavy.. the pots all feel incredibly good to turn and have the right amount of resistance and great notches for the 12 oclock position on the eq and effects. The upfaders as all pioneer mixers i've used.. smooth as butter and wouldn't have it any other way. Not the mixers fault but I am not a fan of serato DJ HID... its terrible and feels like a waste of using cdjs. The display is very generic.. does not display wave or anything useful other than the song playing. I thought HID was supposed to help keep you from looking at the laptop.. but i guess not?! Not too much of a biggie for me as I am normally just playing from a USB on the cdj900nxs anyway... the serato was more for other people that play with my gear.

Musical Style:

Drum and bass, tech house, progressive house, hip hop, all kinds!
