From all my comments above, I would highly recommend this to DJ's who are looking for a set-up at home for practice (Traktor persons).
Sound
Personally, I think the official description from Pioneer speaks best about the sound quality of this product "inherits the sound quality technology developed over the years for Pioneer DJ hardware to achieve the top level of sound quality in its class".
Features
I use DDJ-T1 with Traktor Scratch Pro 2 version. This is definitely a perfect match - ALL of the features from Traktor can been mapped perfectly to DDJ-T1. I also have my two turntable timecoded to Traktor via Audio 10 to make DDJ-1 a 4-channel mixer with FX. In terms of latency, it's too minor to be noticed. It shouldn't be an issue to be worried for your purchase.
Ease of Use
As a Pioneer fan, I've owned various set-ups including the top-notch club standard - CDJ-2000/DJM-2000. Although I have to admit the sound quality from 2000's is unbeatable, DDJ-T1 wins on the ease of use. This all-in-one controller is built in high quality plastic. The faders even feel MUCH better than DJM-700's. The jog wheels somehow are not as solid as high-end CDJ's, but they are good enough for both mixing and scratching.
Quality
If you are a Traktor person, you are not able to find a better controller that utilize all Traktor features. Native Instrument's S4 is truly a big competitor, but I want to say DDJ-T1 is definitely built in higher quality - because it's from Pioneer.
Value
Yes, it's Pioneer - it's always a little more expensive. But you pay more to get higher quality! Besides, this is perfect for home practice for DJ's who gig with "industry standard" Pioneer gears - DJM's and CDJ's.
Manufacturer Support
I'm not giving this a high rating only because this product is relatively new in the market, people are not able to find supports themselves easily from those discussion forums on internet. But I believe Pioneer's own technical support/service for DDJ-T1 would be consistent with other Pioneer products.
The Wow Factor
I've tried so products on the market to get myself a perfect 4-deck setup for practice at home. This is so far the best I can find.

Pioneer makes great gear. But this fell off a bit. I guess they wanted to do what Numark did with the 4trak. But the 4trak would be a better buy. Read the reviews on the 4trak and this t1 comes up in them. I don't know who released there Traktor dedicated controller first. But Numark took the cake on this one.
