I’ve owned the Rane 12s and Phase. These CRSS12s take the cake as far as digital vinyl control goes. Never cared for the feel of the Rane 12’s. With phase, you’re at the mercy of battery life and the constant battle with signal. I constantly had to calibrate and reset my receivers. With the CRSS12s, the build quality is solid and the control is tight and accurate. Only complaint I have with these is the braking when pushing the stop button. The fast setting is too abrupt and the mid and slow setting are both too slow. So if you are used to the braking speed on a Technics 1200, you will be disappointed. Not really a huge deal to me. I would highly recommend these decks.

There is a reason why a lot of reviewers on YouTube have stated this may very well be the best Turntable in the world! And you know what? IMHO, it is!! I just purchased a pair of these bad boys, and they are truly amazing!!! No Technics 1200 MK2, MK3, MK5, or even the new MK7 can even come close to these!! Some DJ's will always swear by Technics, and that's fine. I grew up learning to mix on 1200's but I also love and embrace technology! The torque, the DVS, the sound quality, and the pitch are the absolute best I've heard and used to date! The pitch stays locked (just like 1200's of old - which was what I have been looking for). And yes, I'm actually coming from PLX-1000's which I purchased in May of this year from zZounds - still love them, but with these bad boys, I honestly believe my PLX-1000's may never be touched again. These CRSS12's are worth every dollar!! Kudos to Pioneer DJ (and zZounds)!
