Sound
It's real close to tube sweetness, just a little off. Much better versatility of sound than any tube amp and most are pretty good.
Features
Amazingly enough there aren't very many amps out there that offer 3 good channels, effects loop, and no crappy digi-effects. It's got speaker dampening switch, power level switch, preamp/poweramp in/outs, speaker extension capability with variable resistance for any cabinet. Separate volume and eq for all channels, and each channel has three "modes" each with its own characteristics.
Quality
Mine was a "blem" but not a spot on it and I have a feeling it will last for a looong time. It's a solid state peavey, my grandkids will probably learn to play on this amp and I'm 21 years old.
Value
Amps at this price range just don't sound as good or have features that are as giggable.
Manufacturer Support
I contacted them about footswitch wiring before purchasing the amp, they were quick and helpful.

Sound
This amp is so freaken close to mimicking a real tube amp for only 1/4 the cost of one. Im positive your audience wont notice at all unless Slash or Zakk Wylde just happens to be part of your audience. The volume sound output is consistent with no warm-ups required! The XXL can create the sounds of AC/DC, Guns n' Roses, Van Halen, you name it. The only sound I believe this amp can't produce alone is the Jimi Hendrix signature fuzz (although it gets really close to it).
Features
Comes with a great footswitch. I dont know why people are complaining that their footswitch is so small...the one I got with my amp is huge (about the size of the XXX footswitch). Probably its only because the older XXLs came with smaller footswtiches. Comes with good natural sounding reverb and not the digital and fake kind of sound that comes out of a Line 6. It doesnt have any super duper digital effects but I dont see those important at all because skill is all that matters. The XXL has 3 separate EQ controls. Clean, Lead, and Ultra. Each of the three have another three styles...Itll take too long to name them all, but its very sweet. You can have 9 unique sounds plus the infinate combinations of the knobs such as the lows, mids, highs, and gain. You can easily make your own signautre sound with a low price.
Quality
This is the sexiest amp out there. The amp looks powerfully rugged yet graceful. The knobs are very strong and sturdy looking, the XXL logo and metal grill is beautiful, and the plywood is well made. And this isnt made by starving, low-paid, and unexperienced workers in a foriegn country, this is USA made. This amp will probably be passed on to my future kids, and grand kids.
Value
A low price for a hella beastly amp! Marshalls, yeah, they are good, but they are overpriced.
Manufacturer Support
Peavey's help is very fast and reliable. They respond to my emails quickly. These guys are very quick as well. When I opened the box, the manual was missing, I contacted them the next day (because the first day their line were too full) and they sent it out the same day I called.
The Wow Factor
I already own it...
