I bought this system to replace my old setup. Having to setup speakers and amps got kinda cumbersome over time. The first time I saw this unit in use was at a wedding I attended and I knew I had to get one for myself. I'm a mobile DJ and the less equipment the better. This unit has made my gig setup a breeze. My XDJ-R1 controller plugs into Sub, and it's a wrap. I've done 10 gigs since purchasing the Triflex and so far it's a beast. I've used it outside and the bass can be felt. For weddings and other inside events the sound is crisp and clear. This has definitely been a game changer for me.

I bought these to kick start my mobile dj career. Reviews are all over the place, but I said screw it, and purchased them on a whim. Wow... The sound is incredibly powerful and balanced for the price range. I've used them in both small and medium sized venues, and they were good enough to run solo. The bass is powerful, but I found that if you keep the main level and sub level knobs at equal positions, the sound stays balanced. I do feel that taking the "car" approach and aiming the subs backwards toward a wall produced a heavier bass sound. But that shouldn't matter. Walking outside the venue, I could hear it thumping along, and was quite happy. These definitely outperformed my expectations. Cons: Its heavy... real heavy. Rolling it as a unit is a breeze, but loading and unloading isn't fun. Aside from the weight, you have to be mindful of the amp and gain knobs as to not get them caught on anything. Sound quality degrades noticeably when either plugged into a mixer, or have multiple sources running into the amp. This however, was to be expected. If you're running one item straight into the amp, you're gold. Soundwise, my suggestion would be to place the amp in a position that you can keep an eye on the power light to monitor for clipping. I have found that plugging DDJs/CDJs into the system can really push the unit to the point that youll be babysitting that light. It doesnt matter if you're plugged directly in or through a mixer.. actually, I think a mixer makes this issue worse. Overall, the issues seem really minor. I would definitely recommend this to anyone starting off that needs power for an affordable price.

I am a new Digital DJ who wanted to give any customers I was privileged to spin for more than just quality music. I want to give the quality sound as well. I'm on a budget so I had to get the most bang for the buck. The Peavy system zZounds allowed me to purchase via payments does not disappoint. It comes with 10" tweeters and a 15 inch subwoofer. It has 3 amps housed in the subwoofer that power additional speakers if the event fits the need. I couldn't be happier. Now all I need is to get to work :)

"Great PA for vocals"

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
So far very satisfied with the product. Only time will tell if the durability is as good as the sound quality
Sound
Actually the sound quality for vocals is just absolutely unbelievable. I come from the 80's era where everything was big and had to be in order to sound good. All the speakers are so responsive to all vocal inflections, that the need for vocal exciters are something that is not needed for this system
Features
The features other than the sound capabilities, is the compact and very clever way it is packaged so that it can be moved.... Very clever. I do wish it was Made In The USA, but unfortunately companies are so concerned about squeezing every ounce of profit out of products these day. If I do find a PA system that is Made In The USA, even if it's more money, I would sell this unit for the domestic made product in a heart beat
Ease of Use
The sound was quite surprising.... Based on the reviews I expected it to be good, but it far exceeded all of our expectations..... It is a very powerful unit and I doubt we will use more than 50% of its power capabilities. The system is so plug-n-play and very intuitive for even the most novice of musicians
Quality
We've only had the system a few days, but we hope it will last. Certainly there is a small element of doubt because of where it is made, (China)
Value
The price is great, but the option to spread out the payments using the 8 payment method was the final decision in taking a chance on this item.
Manufacturer Support
I haven't had the need to deal with Peavey Customer Service
The Wow Factor
Well so far I give it a solid 8.5

i acquired this system from a construction contactor who used them at the job sites for music lol... i hadto take them to the repair shop ... a couple diodes and a $90 repair bill and boom baby!!! these things rock without a doubt.... i have yet to really push them at the venues i’ve played (mostly small and a few medium as a mobile dj) cause they are so loud and clear,so much so i’m going to purchase one more , if these things can take a beating from a in all weather conditions and still pound the way they do i have no doubt that a new and taken care of system will perform for many years
Sound
very loud and very clear... dont even need full powerto fill small and medium venues
Features
the roll feature is nice as its very heavy to lift ... separate sub-woofer volume makes it ez to set the lows for what ever your needs are
Ease of Use
very ez to use ... 2 inputs 2 active out and 2 passive out .. clear quick and simple plug and play
Quality
i got the product used and beat up and its still rockin hard... PEAVEY!! need i say more
Value
i hear the price point is good but im always searching for a bargain but what ive dound in this system leaves me with no qualms buying new
Manufacturer Support
havnt has to deal with support so far
The Wow Factor
amazing power and sound for such a compact system one is enough for just about anything you could do outside large outdoors concert events.... i can only imagine what two of these running could deliver to a venue.. probally all the sound any club would need as one is impressive

For $1000 this is an awesome system. The tops being as compact as they are, I was initially concerned with output. My worries quickly went out the door as soon as I turned them on. I have yet to even push these hard because there's no need. I may buy another set for when I have large gigs (I'm a mobile DJ)

I WOULD BUY THIS AGAIN AND AGAIN!!
Sound
The Bass sound is awesome it has a big punch and boom on it. you can even use it in a nightclub as Dj. Get an EQ and this little monster will make your heart pump to 50000rpm!!!! The satellites are small but they deliver good quality of sound, and they are loud!!! I connect my guitar to it and it sounds even better than my line 6 175watt half stack!!!
Features
Has 2 XLR outputs so you can connect extra monitors or speakers.
Ease of Use
Its simple, only has 2 knobs the master volume and the bass volume. But that works for me!!
Quality
Bass is a tank!! satellites are small but made tolast forever!!
Value
IT'S REALLY THE BEST MONITOR SYSTEM IN THAT PRICE RANGE OUT THERE PEAVEY ROCKS!!!
Manufacturer Support
haven't dealt with them

I'M THINKING OF BUYING ONE MORE OF THESE!!

"WOW! Great Power with Incredible clarity!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Verified Customer zZounds has verified that this reviewer made a purchase from us.
This system will be used in a high school environment so it must be rugged. Hopefully it will outlast me here which is on the order of 4 or 5 years.
Sound
The sound from this system is extremely deceiving. While it is indeed VERY loud, the crisp clarity of tone, razor sharp reproduction of sounds, and absence of typical PA system 'noise' disquise the power of this thing. We intend to use in a gym atmosphere and based on the sound it is putting out it will MORE than meet our needs. We verified actual SPL with a meter and also walked away a good distance and then realized just how strongly it was reproducing sound.
Features
The design makes for easy transport (ROLLING) as the satelites mount to the sub base and the heavy duty casters make rolling the system easy on hard floors. The included cover has bags for cables, stands, etc. The unit is HEAVY so lifting it up and down requires effort but that is to be expected. I do have concerns about the contol panel being at 'foot' level when configured to move but time will tell if that fear is grounded.
Ease of Use
I wouldn't call this thing idiot proof, but it does come close. We purchased a Behrenger mixer and a Shure microphone kit to work with the system and it all cables up neatly and quickly.
Quality
Some internet reviews complain about the cabinet building materials not holding up, but since it is new, what I am seeing is a rugged, quality, product.
Value
I did a great deal of research and could find louder for cheaper, but I could not find anything near the quality of sound at this power level. I was looking at Yamaha powered mixers, standalones, etc but for our purposes this system seems like its more than worth the money.
Manufacturer Support
Its been a couple years ago but we dealt with Peavey on a blown stereo pa amp (260Watt) and their support people were very helpful. I do recall the typical difficulty of getting someone on the phone that nearly all companies present.
The Wow Factor
Very smooth design, simplistic hookups, and typical Peavey 'sound'.

I finally bought this system, after looking at it for a couple of years now. I've only tested in the the dining room, but I'm confident that it will give me what I need for an event with the 500w sub! I've bought other portable systems, minus a sub and new that there was a missing link, even on 15" speakers, when you're in a Grand Ballroom. I also have the Escort 6000 and will use it as my vocal mixer and just like the music play from the Triflex II. Only design flaw is the speakers are only nested on top of the subwoofer, not secured. The freight delivery was HUGE!

I looked at several powered PA systems before deciding that this would suit my needs and I was literally blown away by the power of this unit. I first set it up inside my man cave with all inputs going through my Peavey mixer, the sound was great! I recently used it on an outdoor stage not sure of how it would perform but myself and the crowd were impressed (will clip if pushed to hard) but overall a great system for the price.

After reading several specs on the other name brands, I chose the Triflex ll. I have heard the other systems simuliar to this one and wasn't satisfied at all the othe brands had an issue with the bottom end, and would not give the correct wattage, just the peak power. So I decided to go with the Triflex ll. I already own a Peavey system, but wanted a powered system with great sound, I have only one complaint Peavey should have used better building materials instead of MDF, but some of my old speakers was made with the same material and it's over 20 years old and is still in good shape.

It's discontinued, but I got mine just in time. It was on my wish list for almost two years and I've officially only used it once, since delivery. The main cabinet containing the sub-woofer and amp is compact for a quick set up and sounds excellent. But it's as heavy as hell! That's it's biggest drawback!

I've used this unit for DJ gigs of up to 100 guests, and it did the job well, whether it's indoors or outdoors. I love the sound quality that it delivers. What I don't like is the weight of the subwoofer/amplifier cube. It's too heavy to load it by myself in the car. The other thing I don't like is the cheap MDF that the enclosures are made of. They get dented and scratched just by looking at them. I have to wrap each individual enclosure in a blanket so they don't get damaged in transit.

I have heard a lot of negative reviews about this product and most of them were from beginners, with less then three years experience> I must say Peavey out done their- self with this unit and their previous TriflexI as well, I have seen other companies try to copy their style and there is no comparison class D amps VS class G amps. My only gripe with Peavey is the material they used for the cabinet, other than that this unit kicks butt. I have gotten a lot of great complements on this unit every time I use it...
