Peavey TLS5X Speaker Customer Review

Overall: 4 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
Bang for Buck - hard to beat. I use these in a 3 piece band and they work great.
Features
Sheffield 15" speaker is good, but it's not a Black Widow. But for the price, they are great. Nice and light as well.
Ease of Use
Plug and Play
Quality
I have had to have them "tightened up" twice. Once was the horn came loose, the second time the bracing came unglued....both times it was under warranty and was not a big deal.

"Great unit!"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Peavey quality and durability should keep this thing running a good long time.
Sound
For the price, it simply can't be beat. Plug in a Yamaha or JBL that cost easily twice as much, and you won't hear a difference, unless of course, you notice that the Peavey is actually louder. The price on this TLS line has dropped, why, I'm not sure. They are less expensive than their lower-grade counterparts in the PV line and are more compact, lighter, and have a much tighter and more seamless crossover.
Features
pretty standard for comparable speakers.
Ease of Use
plug and play.
Quality
standard features here, but Peaveys are known to be the most rugged speaker on the road.
Value
price-features-quality... yamaha and jbl can't offer even an entry level speaker for the same price as this one.
Manufacturer Support
no support needed.
The Wow Factor
This is a good-looking piece; a little different from what else is out there, but too freakish.
