For the price I paid these speakers are outstanding (new $279 each on clearance). The box is larger than most 12" driver speakers, but I believe that helps with the bass response. Takes a little work getting them dialed in since some of the presets are a little weird for my liking, but once EQ'd properly they outperform my EV powered 12's by far. We use these for "live band" use as "mains" and they project/disperse quite far for 12's. I run my bass through them as reinforcement at low-to-moderate levels and never a problem. Don't get me wrong, these will not take the place of a sub if the venue calls for it, but neither will any speaker. Very happy so far and they have been to 5 live shows so far over the last month.
