I recently purchased this amp as I have used the older, American made version (1990's) for many years. It was simply time for a new one. The newer version is made in China. I use it only for my acoustic guitar and I was extremely disappointed. It doesn't have nearly the power of the older version. After using it for one set, I had my roady change back to my old one. The sound quality wasn't there and it has no balls, even at a lower volume it was clipping and distorting. I play in a loud rock band and this product simply can't produce a loud, clean sound. Don't waste your money!! zZounds was great when I told them of my displeasure and I returned it without any problems.
Musical Background:
I've been playing professioanlly for 48 years, accoustic and electric guitars
Musical Style:
Classic rock

Worked Ok for 4 months and then one night during rehearsal sparks and smoke came out of it, and it was dead. Cost for repair was prohibitive. I've owned a lot of Peavey gear -- all Made In USA -- over the years and never had *any* problems. This model was made in China. JUNK. I'll never buy Peavey gear again.
