"MOST BANG FOR THE BUCK!"

For my application, mostly speech, it is perfect. For music the sound is a bit "bright" but certainly within tollerances.
Sound
I purchased a pair of PR 112s and my priorities were "lightweight and weather resistant". The price was easy on the budget as well. Much to the chagrin of my neighbors, I performed an A-B comparison in my back yard at rather high volume with a pair of WARFDALE FORCE 9s. Much to my amazment these equaled, if not out performed the more expensive WARFDALES. As a result, I am ordering another pair. I was powering them with an 808 M MACKIE power mixer. My schtick is to set up sound for athletic events, play recorded music and make announcements through out the event. The trapazoidal design of the cabinet allows me to "nest" 4 side by side on pipe staging and benefit from 180 degree dispersion of sound.
Quality
I have no complaints about the total package of the PR 112s. They were adequately packed. The finish on the molded cabinets as well as the black powdered grilles seems perfect. Parallel inputs (somewhat standard in the industry) are invaluable for "daisy chaining" speakers along a start or finish line.
Value
I believe for the price, they are the best value I've run across in the twenty five years I've dealt with audio equipment.
The Wow Factor
The rounded corners and overall look are contemporary in design. Aesthetically appealing to the eye.

"GREAT VALUE!! P.A. Speakers? Karaoke? Peavey is On Target with the PR series."

Overall: 4.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Likes: Price, Preformace, company backing (Peavey), 3 year warranty. Dislikes: No Speakon connectors.
Sound
Peavey..... Peavey....... With the PR Series, you dont get a Black Widow woffer. But none the less, a extremely nice cab! Essentally, you wont be able to come close to the sound in this price range. I know its not saying much $139.00, but for venues/PA for 100 people they will perform nicely.
Features
Owning a company that does PA setups, one of the features that stands out here is WEIGHT. No one wants to break their back. Peavey has done a great job with this cab. Its EXTREMELY easy to carry around. Many fly points on the top.
Quality
Peavey put their name on it, it carries a 3 year warranty. YIPPIE! They appear quite road worthy. Great trap design.
Value
Now heres where it really comes into play. The overall value. These speakers are absolutly the best deal your going to get anywhere near the price range. The only cabs that come to mind in the price range would be Kustom and Nady. Both of which I have no problem with. But comparably, Peavey kicks their A**

They sound great for thier size and weight. The highs go way up. They will actually put out a lot of bass for a moulded speaker.

"Low Price, High Value...A great buy!"

Compared to other speakers in this price range. These are the best. Nady, Gemini, Gemsound, and so on are junk. They use cheap tweeters that are harsh sounding and blow out easily. I was in the market for a pair of speakers for under $400. Never expected to find Peavey's for this price. I love the lightweight design, but the great sound is my favorite feature. I don't like how they don't fit my old speaker stands, they use the smaller pole mount.
Sound
Nice smooth sound. Great match of woofer and tweeter. I dirve these cabs HARD and they RESPOND! By themselves, they are great for a small crowd, however, due to a lack of deep bass response you'll need a subwoofer for larger crowds. I have them crossed over at 200Hz. They handle so much more power when you use a seperate sub. I play mostly Hip Hop and Dance, but one night of the week I play mostly modern rock. I also do private parties and have even used these as monitors for a band! They have never failed me in any situation, furthermore, they have exceeded my expectations.
Features
Built in stand mounts are the most useful feature. Fly points are useless for me (mobile DJ). I do wish they had speakon inputs, but only because I use my Crown amp on them. I have used a QSC, a Peavey, and a Sunn amp without speakon and this wasn't a concern.
Quality
Always reliable. Easy on the eyes when you first buy them, but don't bang em up. They show scuffs easily. Not a concern for me, I knew this before I bought them and it's usually dark where I play. I have been pounding these 2 nights a week for a few months now, and look forward to using them for a long time.
Value
Powered by my Crown CE1000, I have never bought a set of mains that bang out such great sound for so cheap!
Manufacturer Support
Support? For what? If you don't know how to hook them up maybe you could use support, but you won't have to call for repairs if you use them correctly.
The Wow Factor
I needed a new set of mains, bought these, and will probably buy another pair in a few weeks.

Peavey PR12 Pro Lite Customer Review

Overall: 0.5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
Sound
The speakers sound decent for the money but when I ordered the PR-12 which is advertised as being rated for 400w, it came with the back plate reading 250w. Peavey said it was really was the 400w and they just made the wrong plates for the back. Well, I've blown the horn in the speakers 3 times now while only pushing 400 watts through them. I haven't even pushed them hard.
