An excellent value. Solid construction, good looks and dependable action. Unfortunately if you plan to use with an electronic kit you will need to jimmy rig the contraption that hooks it to the bass drum pad. They need some kind of doohicky to clamp down on non-acoustic kits.

"Old School"

The good, it has a strong spring. I bough this peddle thinking that it would be fast. It falls way short of expectations. the spring adjustments are good, beyond that everything else is very disappointing. the old school clamp adjusts under the foot plate, limiting the travel to a hard stop on the T screw. the clamp has bear metal cleats that you have to squeeze a rubber plate between the jaw and the rim of the drum. there is no Velcro or cleats on the bottom so it is up to the drum out riggers to keep the drum from walking. Next there "innovation" - an orange cam on the spindle gets dangerously close to the drum head as to make contact when hitting hard, which brings up the most serious problem: which is the lack of height adjustment, to center on a 22" you have to lower the rod so low that it makes contact with the Head on the back swing. if your drum is smaller then a 22" you will need a stand off or to cut the rod.
