absolutely great pedal for a very cheap price.

this pedal sounds great, with the double beater you can use the plastic for hard rock/metal and the felt side for softer music like jazz. very fast pedal.

I feel like i could play this pedal forever, i would definitely replace it if it were to break. I chose it cuz it was a pearl but i keep it cuz it performs like no other
Sound
To begin with, its a pearl and thats all i need, as far sound goes, the pedal can be switched around for whatever your style of music calls for. For example, the actual beater can be turned to 4 different positions, so if you have a song with a heavy chorus and a super light verse you can make your right beater the plastic tip and the left beater the velcro

The most useful feature by far would be the interchangeable beater

compared with the other dble basses ive seen this one is by far the best period, not including how good the price was

I really just kinda waanted one before i owned it but after having used it for several jam sessions i find that all the drum runs or fancy beats i do that i thought were perfect are now totally different because of the double bass

I really like this pedal. I have used around five or six different double kicks, but this one is the best one I've had. At first I thought it sucked, but then I realized my alignment wasn't right :)
For 150 bucks, this pedal is definately worth it and much more. With this experience, I would pay $1000 for this pedal.
Features
It has everything. Drum key, "L" bars. I think it should be a bit easier to adjust the tension, but it's really easy nonetheless.
Ease of Use
It is very playable, and smooth.
Quality
My hair from my beaters keep coming off, but it doesn't affect the playability.
Value
Definetely worth it.

I will probably use these until I can get my hands on a much higher-end pedal. For their price, I will surely reccomend them to all of my drumming friends!
Sound
If you're using triggers, the plastic side is very nice. It's also nice for fast metal beats.
The felt side gives a solid "umph", and isn't too muffled.
Features
Came with a Pearl drum key, allen wrenches, the works. Great buy, if you get the hi-hat drop clutch with it.
Ease of Use
Very easy to modify, just a few kinks with adjusting the tension springs just right. Has everything you'd expect from a mid-high end double pedal; Adjustable width between pedals, adjustable tension on the springs, two beaters to choose from, adjustable beater height and distance from the bass head.
Very easy product to use.
Quality
Very sturdy pedal. I forgot to put two screws into it and still worked great. Nothing comes loose on it, and the rubber grip on the bottom of the foot plate helps a lot.
Very nice quality.
Value
For $150, these pedals are almost being stolen. They have the quality of higher-end pedals, with the price of a low-end one.

This product looks very nice. The footplate has "Eliminator" style rubber grips on the footboard. The beaters have a nice aesthetic appeal, plastic or felt out. The colors appear to merge evenly between the connecting rod and the chrome colored footplate.

"6 years and still kicking"
I purchased this model back in 2006 and they are still working incredibly well. In fact, I must admit I am a bit ignorant to other double bass pedal's durability because this one has done so well for me - I have not had to buy another.
I found myself on the net today trying to find some specific information about this exact model while cleaning them (very filthy) and decided to drop this review. I would highly recommend them even "as new" online.
Sound
I have found the sound to be ready for almost any style/genre. Obviously heavy metal is it's forte, but I have found excellent for all others. Need to try country, though.
Features
My only complaint would be needing a little more versatility on the pedal adjustments themselves. It does have three slots however, if you're not picky about it. Came with great little drum key with grips built into the wing (amazingly useful) and still have it!
Ease of Use
Difficult to tune tension, but that's pretty true for all double bass pedals.
Quality
The title of this is "6 years and still kicking."
Value
Being one of the lower priced pedals, and because of the immense quality along with multiple features it gives you - most certainly worth the value.

I found the booklet to pretty much entail all of the info I needed. Pearl has been pretty reliable for me in the past.

I was fooling arund with it in a store and was astonished at the forocity and quickness in this.

With a tight enough bass head, it recoils nicely. The speed it adds to your feet is undeniable. I was able to go way faster than ever before. And since its on the same drum it sounds the same with each stroke.

It saves tones of space and money compared to getting another bass drum.

It kept going as I went, which is more than I can say about my current pedal

What more can u want. I practice for 1 to 2 hrs every day, and ive never had a hiccup with these.lube um up every now and then your good to go! Oh did i say ive had them for 5 years now

it worked fine until just now and i've had it for about a year. The left pedal would hit once and not go again. ive tried to adjust the springs and chains and nothing.

The Sound Quality of this pedal is amazing i've had it for a while now and i havent had any problems with it. It Saves a lot of space and its affordable.

The features are awesome too. The foot pedals are solid and so are the pedal plates. It Has All The Adjustments A drummer expects from a double pedal

"Beginer or Pro, punk or classic, you will love this pedal."
This product is the best bass pedal i have used. I have been playing for 3 years, if your just started to learn the double bass pedal or are nd expert this product is good for you. I like playing hardcore-punk, but this pedal plays just about anything. It has a great firm beat, reacts great and its affordable.
