I build all my own cables and been doing so for many years. I've got excellent soldering equipment and above average soldering skills. I've built cables using these exact same Neutrik connectors but these are better than mine. I've not been able to figure out why I cant build a silent cable this good but I cant and believe me, I've tried. I have wasted many hours and many expensive connectors trying to build one as good as these but mine are never as silent. These are dead quiet. Yes they're expensive but they work, period.
