My guitar came today (2 day shipping), and I love it.I haven't put it down. The build quality is perfect, the playability is perfect, and the tone is just what i expect from a PRS guitar. I have an SE Studio that I purchased from zZounds and the quality of the CE24 Standard is on the same level. This is a great guitar for the budding guitarist or the professional looking for an axe to shed on and build chops. I love PRS guitars and zZounds customer service.

This is my second SE CE24 Standard Satin. The first one I bought from the big "S" store and it was a great guitar but it was the tremolo model. Being that I don't use a tremolo, (Smooth Jazz, Blues, Funk, Originals), I was excited when the Hard Tail model was available. I also came back to zZounds which is where I purchased my PRS SE Studio (Amazing).Call me CRAZY but this guitar feels better (to me) than any guitar I've played other than my SE Studio. After a month, it is ROCK solid; intonation, tuning and play ability. Neck like an arrow, low action, great weight.My only advice is that PRS pick ups have their own unique sound and if you are looking to sound like some "famous" guitarist buy some pedals. If you are looking to carve your own tonal niche with a guitar that punches well above its price point PRS SE models are the absolutely best place to start.

I just got a PRS SE CE like the one shown here. The tremolo bar stays in perfect tune. I love the push/ pull single coil choice. Probably the best guitar I've owned since ... I'm sixty now and I've been playing since I was 10 or 11.

So these were selling new for like, less than 500 bucks about a year or so ago? And of course because of tariffs and the global economy and world being the way it is, everyone had to increase prices... BUT EVEN STILL this guitar is like, A LOT of guitar for the money.I've owned the trem version of these and realized in a cover band where I constantly go back and fourth from Drop D to Standard and vice versa on a floating trem sucks... Like it really sucks. Great guitar, the satin finish feels amazing, the neck is fast but not uncomfortably small. The tuners are different with this model, they actually feel and function better than the old SE tuners which is wild me saying that, I gigged with this thing stock over the fourth of July and the tuners held up just fine.The electronics are great, full sized pots, great feeling switch. Only thing I think could be subbed out here are the pickups but that's like, really to taste. I don't like 85-15 S pickups, I prefer an Alnico II snarl or the high end gusto of a good ceramic pickup but again, for what the stock pickups are, they are pretty fantastic. The stop tail bridge is different from older PRS SE models, they are Aluminum but with brass slots where the strings rest. and you can audibly hear the result from that. The guitar acoustically is loud and bright (in a good way) with the bridge, plus it has brass posts which make a difference in terms of sustain.Great choices all around. I swapped my bridge out with a WIlkinson Wraparound bridge and swapped out the saddles with Graph Tech String Saver saddles (the one with individual saddles you can adjust... I use a weird string gauge). Unlike older SE's where you have to swap out the post, this one is a literal drop in replacement. Amazing, no notes!One thing to note, this guitar for some reason doesn't respond well to Alnico II pickups (I had EMG Revelations in here), they end up sounding muddy and it's legit hard to get the low end not to sound so flubby. I think it has something to do where the pickups are positioned on the body? Because I tried the exact set on a Gibson SG and the pickups sounded and felt SUPER Different (More Mid bite and high end). I luckily had a set of EMG H2's laying around and used those and now the guitar sounds just as good as it looks and feels!I play in a professional cover band, and I mentioned earlier that I played a full blown 4 hour gig... Stock! The setup is amazing however I felt like I could get the action a little lower without causing buzzing, so I put a shim in the neck pocket (super thin one) and that did the trick! The frets are perfect and the factory setup out of PRS is outstanding. Seriously, for about $550 bucks you get a pro level instrument you don't really need to upgrade. I could literally take it out of the box, tune it up, plug into the rack and play a set comfortably.I Would recommend the stop tail if you are a player that doesn't need a whammy bar and trem system. If you need a rock solid, grip it and rip rock machine you can legit tour with but also don't have enough money to pay for a big boi guitar without a years worth of plasma donations, grab this guy! Oh and being over 40 with 4 kids, this thing is stupid light and great on your back. It weighs less than my Gibson SG and doesn't have neck dive. Great instrument at an unbeatable price!
