"Great guitar.... now"

I had been wanting one of these for a while and it took a while to save up..This guitar is beautiful and the case is top notch , however, . I wasn't immediately impressed... the sound was OK , but the action was about a quarter of an inch high.. ( neck was pretty straight ) the " case candy " contains a second bridge and some shims , a spare bridge pin etc. ... I decided to try.to get the action down . I noticed the spare bridge was significantly shorter than the one on the guitar ? So I changed them out and the action improved considerably ? No buzz , no " fret out ".... eventually I ended up taking a little more.material off of the bridge and got the action pretty low . I don't know if getting the strings closer to the hole makes that much difference or getting closer to the top ? But the sound opened up and it plays fantastic now... now I'm impressed . Now it's the guitar I expected from PRS... The wood is gorgeous , the neck is comfortable ( although I'd prefer a satin neck ) the electronics sound fantastic and now it plays great , close to an electric feel... not sure how or why it got past QC like it did ? That being said , other than the initial issues it had and I expected to have to adjust a new guitar to my liking, as usual. PRS Angelus is a nice acoustic.. too bad the outsourced QC sucks...
