Sure, the SE guitars are nice. They play great and sound awesome. However, the American S2 line is a different breed completely. I've owned countless SE models and kept none of them. My first S2 bought in 2018 was an eye opener. It served me well but for reasons, I had to let it go. That reason was a Les Paul Standard 50s model. Not sorry. It was time to add another bird to the stable though. I wanted something different. This fit the bill. Out of the box, the whole guitar vibrates when you play a note. The pickups on this axe are killer. Fit and finish are perfect. Not a visible flaw to be found. Minimal setup, and I mean minimal to dial it in to my preferences. The metallic blue is breathtaking! It's feather light. One note of caution is with a thin finish like this, there will be battle scars. Just roll with it and play the hell out of it.
