"PRS Angelus Acoustic"

Overall: 5 out of 5 stars
(see rating details)
This guitar is beyond words for the price. Who cares where its made. It rivals a Taylor. I was going to purchase a 916 Taylor, but the store was out. I picked up this guitar and fell in love. Cutaway is awesome, the tonality is warm and bright. It still has a beautiful spruce top with a split back rosewood binding on the back. I love it, it has birds as inlays on the neck. I kept going back to the store to check the guitar out. I have exotic taste and this guitar sounds amazing. I plan on buying another one as I see the newer ones have abalone inlays. There are not enough wonderful things that can be stated. The action, fret positioning and the electronics are great. It sounds even fuller when amplified, plus eq provides full audio adjustments, you can make it sound like an auditorium model. Beautiful and cheap vs-$5000. Not sure about mfr support, I service all my own stuff so I can't fairly judge it. Not American made, not U.S price...I don't care, I just want a great playing guitar at an affordable price.

"BEST GUITAR"

I have been playing guitar for around 16 years and over those years have been able to purchase 13 different guitars. Some Taylor's, Guild's...2-4 thousand dollar guitars. My wife bought me this guitar a year ago for my birthday. My first impression was this is a gorgeous guitar. As I played it (both plugged in and un-plugged) is hands down better sounding than any guitar I own, and for half the money. Its built to last and is worth every cent. I check regularly in hopes that PRS has made a new model, and if and when they do, I will buy it.

This is an absolutely beautiful instrument. I only have two very minor complaints. One is the case doesn’t say PRS and the other is made in China on the back of the headstock, however they should be damn proud of the craftsmanship so like I said, minor and unimportant. The tones are incredibly bright and the fishman electronics are awesome. The abelone bindings and floral inlays are impressive and beautiful. I’ve bought guitars from zZounds before and they don’t dress them but this one came well playing and almost in tune! I would imagine it’s had quite a trip let alone some shelf alone time but kept it’s tune. I highly recommend and am the envy of all my acoustic playing friends!!! On top of everything else, zZounds treats me like a rockstar and I got it the very next day. I just read the email, approved, got another email an hour later with a tracking number, (I was at work), delivered! F guitar center or any other instrument retailer, I’ll only buy from zZounds.

"Great guitar for color blind baseball players"

This guitar can be summed up by the "Disclosure" printed on the back of the headstock, "Built by Cor-Tek Musical Instrument Co., LTD China, under exclusive license for PRS guitars," Further, the front of the guitar is nice looking but the sides and back have this orange tint to the stain that's really out of place. The neck is so thick, and it has an uncomfortable radius to it, it's like playing a baseball bat!! This guitar is not a PRS, it's a "Cort". If you have no issues paying $900 for a Chinese guitar that's actually a "Cort", you're color blind and like baseball, this is the instrument for you...
