I’ve been a Taylor player forever. This year I thought I’d try something new, and am glad I did. I purchased this guitar and fell in love with it within an hour of starting to play it. I love the tone - it’s stunning beauty is an added bonus. Let me begin with the important stuff. The tone is balanced. I’m not being ambiguous here. There’s not too much bass, but enough to deliver a clear presence yet not so overwhelming to the rest of the excellent midrange and treble resonances.Let’s talk fit and finish. The A60E is simply stunning. The finish is beautiful. I explored the head area for fit and it’s flawless. I looked for cracks in the finish at stress areas and none were found. There was a tiny scratch on the bridge, but was easily hidden with a dab of shoe polish. Inlayed mother of pearl is flawless and adds an element of beauty I appreciate. The ONLY thing I noticed isn’t visible to the eye. The INSIDE around the sound hole seems unsanded and a bit rough. Perhaps a bit more attention there would be nice, but it’s certainly nothing you see and I doubt that it impacts the sound. The frets are finished nicely. The tiger maple purfling sets everything off and is finished and joined beautifully. Other than minor niggles, simply stunning!Next, the ease of play is exceptional. Action was set perfectly out of the box - low. I did have to push the string pegs in a few times, but they’re seated fine now. The nut is bone and helps deliver a wonderful tone. This thing stays in tune more than I ever expected.I have to say this guitar has certainly exceeded my expectations and I already love playing it - all for about the same price as a Taylor 214ce! I’ve always purchased Taylor’s because of their reputation, acceptable quality and nice sound. Personally, I believe the PRS SE A60E sounds better than my Taylor 214 and 414 and are built better too. It’s certainly much prettier and comes with a nice hard case instead of a gig bag.If you’re in the market for a beautiful guitar at a reasonable price point, look no further - or at least look in this direction also. I believe you’ll be as surprised as I am - a rare yet welcome experience in today’s world. PRS created something so dial with this guitar. I cannot see why it’s praises remain largely unsung.

Easy. More jazz than rock (but love me some head-banging occasionally!). Cinematic light jazz may best explain it, if that means

This guitar defines Acoustic-Electric. Definitely has a growl to its tone. This acoustic has character and inspires me both visually and audibly.

"Don't buy a guitar on looks"

Not happy at all. The neck is properly adjusted and the action is correct, yet it buzzes like hell. The only thing left is that the frets must need dressed. $1100 guitars should not come with off level frets. Unfortunately, circumstances prevented me from playing it much until the return window was up. It is pretty, though.
