I really like the idea of a programmable looper. I've owned this Palmer for about a year, and I set it up with Lava solderless kits. I ran about five pedals through it and it worked as expected. I was able to easily program banks of effects so I can switch in and out as many effects as needed with one kick of a switch. It's built tough and hasn't given me any problems except for the nut coming out of the guitar output jack, but that was an easy fix. I started out with four banks, with four presets in each. It’s very straight-forward. No midi, no channel switching…One thing to note: I programmed the banks for a smooth transition of songs in a live situation. It took some time to remember that the intro of a song could be bank 2, channel 1, and then the rhythm is bank 2, channel 2, bridge is bank 2, channel 3 and the solo bank 2 channel 4… This is an extreme example, but when moving the songs in a set list around, sometimes I either reprogrammed the Palmer, or improvised with settings I was confident. I didn’t want to have to jump from bank 7 to bank 4 in a situation where we were transitioning songs without stopping. I am not sure that I like the metal plate or “shelf” under the input and output jacks. It certainly helps with screwing the switcher into a board, but really made right-angle cables difficult to use. I got away with it because Lava's heads are small and I put them all in at the same 45 degree angle, but it was still very tight, and one of the cables was under enough stress to short it's connection. I didn't want to use straight 1/4" because real-estate on the board is tight enough. So, after a year of use I was switching some pedals around and I got a short that was killing my signal. With twice as many connections as I would have going straight from pedal-to-pedal, and a time consideration, I pulled the Palmer off my board and went to connect each pedal in a chain. The signal boost I experienced was very noticeable. It really seemed like I was getting a better signal by not using the looper, which is counter intuitive to its design and purpose. Could it be because one of my pedals had a buffer and the looper is true bypass? I don't know, but now I'm thinking of what it will take to get my quick switching without the Palmer. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of user info on this product, which is why I'm doing this review. If it helps, here’s my chain at the time: EB Volume pedal to the input of the palmer. Loops - 1. ZW Wah, 2. Fulltone OCD, 3. Analogman KOT, 4. Maxon OD9, 5. EHX Soul Food, 6. Wampler Faux Tape – out from the Palmer to the amp’s input. Yeah, I’m an overdrive addict.
A Manufacturer support rating is required to submit a review, but I didn't need to use their support, so I'm giving 3.

Works great. The only times I would change is that the clicks are a little close together and the first time you change signals it will have a noticeable click with reverb and delay, but after the first click it isn't there anymore. I don't know why. I would also want a little more than 4 channels per bank, but thats just me being picky. Other than that (and really with that as well) it does everything perfectly.
