I love these needles. I bought them because the JICO J44A7 and J44D carts I was using on my main decks have an expensive stylus to replace them. I've always wanted to try these so I took the plunge, and boy am I glad I did. These track amazingly and sound great. I just got them and they work amazingly. It was nice to not have to fiddle with screws or a head-shell and just plug it into the tonearm. The lift feels great to use, and you can see exactly the groove you're placing the needle into, unlike the Shure M447 or JICO J44A7 clone cart. These sound amazing as well. I played a Showbiz and AG record as my first analog vinyl to try with it, and the bass was bumping. Everything sounded great and I loved being able to put the needle in the "blank" groove just before a song and get it right on point. These also work great with DVS and Serato control vinyl. I'm sure other DVS software will work great as well. The tonearm lifts are replaceable, and come in different colors. This means you can customize your cart to go along with your motif of sorts. I highly recommend these carts, and will give it 5 stars all around. The replacement needle is only $66 which is a lot cheaper than the JICO needles come in at. I put the JICOs on my secondary setup, and I still have a lot of love for those. I think I've found my new favorite needles in these Ortofon Scratch Mk2s though. They are great and I hope I have them for a long time to come....

Bought these to compare against the digital model. Coming from the Shure M-447s, I have to say that these produce a sound closer to the Shure than the digital model. If using DVS, the dust seems to affect these more than the digital model which are designed for use with DVS. Kudos to Ortofon.
